Short Bio
Historian, PhD in Russian history (Moscow, 1998), associate professor at the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Bucharest (since 2004). Researcher at the Institute of History “N. Iorga” of the Romanian Academy, until 2001, researcher at the Romanian Institute of Recent History (2002-2003); researcher at the Romanian Diplomatic Institute (2005-2014); Counsellor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs Teodor Baconschi for the former Soviet space (2010-2011). Correspondent in Moscow for BBC WS (1995-1998 and 1999-2000); deputy editor-in-chief and editor-in-chief of 22 Magazine (2004-2009, 2012-2014).
