George Horațiu Bontea
Horațiu Bontea is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of
European Studies. He holds a BA and MA in International Relations with a thesis on the European Integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with an emphasis on the civil society's role and the uniqueness of Brčko district as a
possible conflict resolution strategy.
His main areas of interest centre on the important role of
identity in the current state of international relations and how this could be seen as a key issue for
security. In his publications, as he examined the impact of identity politics in Gaza, in Rwanda,
and in Xinjiang.
